Coronary Angiography
A thin tube (catheter) is guided through an artery, usually in the wrist or groin. A special dye helps your doctor see whether any heart artery is narrowed or blocked. It may be advised to find the cause of chest pain, to evaluate abnormal test results, or in a suspected heart attack.
What to expect
- Your doctor explains the steps, risks and benefits first
